Located in Carbon County and a state park since 1972, Beltzville State Park has many things that make it a wonderful park. First of all, it has history. A main attraction of the park is a covered bridge, one of many found in Pennsylvania. For more history, take the Saw Mill Trail on a tour past the historical ruins of the old saw and grist mill which occupied the west end of the park. It has beauty, one of the most beautiful trails in the park takes a walk past the picturesque Wild Creek Falls forming a natural beauty. The grist mill ruins form a man made beauty. There is much diversity in outdoor activities from hiking and hunting to boating and cross country skiing. Open twelve months a year, ice boating and ice fishing keep visitors busy in the winter months.
