FR Le Bleuet est une librairie fondée en 1990 par Joël Gattefossé place Saint-Just à Banon (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). Elle est la plus grande librairie française indépendante en milieu rural.

Avec 110 000 titres disponibles, un stock de 189 000 ouvrages et un taux de retour exceptionnel de 2 % alors qu’elle est située dans une zone rurale peu peuplée (Banon compte 1 072 habitants), Le Bleuet affiche, en 2011, une belle réussite culturelle et économique. En 2010, la librairie entame de grands travaux dans le but de pouvoir stocker un million d’ouvrages en 2014 et d’ouvrir un site de vente en ligne.

Le site de vente en ligne ouvre en septembre 2012 au public après une phase de tests durant l’été 2012 réservée aux clients habituels. Un entrepôt est également créé en contrebas du village pour assurer le stockage de la librairie et la logistique du site.

Mais en 2013, la librairie rencontre des difficultés croissantes : le site ne répond pas à la hauteur des attentes et la gestion de l'entrepôt pèse trop lourd dans les comptes. Début 2014, elle fait appel au financement participatif en vue d'entamer un redressement. Les fonds levés (65 000 euros sur un objectif de 25 000) ne sont cependant pas suffisant pour réussir ce redressement. La librairie est vendue après novembre 2014 à Patrick Sombret, et dirigée par son épouse, Christine Rey-Sombret. Le Bleuet change à nouveau de mains en juin 2016, racheté par un couple de Lyonnais.

EN Le Bleuet is a bookstore founded in 1990 by Joël Gattefossé on Place Saint-Just in Banon (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). It is the largest independent French bookshop in rural areas.
With 110,000 titles available, a stock of 189,000 books and an exceptional return rate of 2% while located in a sparsely populated rural area (Banon has 1,072 inhabitants), Le Bleuet is a great cultural and economic success in 2011. In 2010, the bookshop began major work with the aim of storing one million books in 2014 and opening an online sales site.
The online sales site opens in September 2012 to the public after a test phase in summer 2012 reserved for regular customers. A warehouse was also created below the village to store the bookshop and ensure the site's logistics.
But in 2013, the bookshop is facing increasing difficulties: the site does not meet expectations and warehouse management is too heavy in the accounts. At the beginning of 2014, it is using participatory financing to initiate a recovery. However, the funds raised (65,000 euros out of a target of 25,000) are not enough to make this recovery a success. The bookstore was sold after November 2014 to Patrick Sombret, and managed by his wife, Christine Rey-Sombret. Le Bleuet changed hands again in June 2016, bought by a couple from Lyon.

This bookstore is part of the heritage of Provence
