The Purdy cemetery is located off Highway 76, about 8 miles south of Lindsay, OK. The cemetery was established soon after the town in 1892, with land deeded to the town by the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations. The town of Purdy was legally dissolved in 1989 and the cemetery is currently owned and maintained by a cemetery association with donations.

The cemetery has trees scattered throughout and is well maintained. There is a gravel perimeter drive around the cemetery, as well as a north-south drive. There is a covered pavilion for services. Currently, there are 684 burials here.
