The lighthouse presently located at the tip Killbear Point was constructed in 1994, replacing the original structure that was built in 1904. The lighthouse is not located within Killbear Provincial Park, but is instead on land owned by the Canadian Coast Guard. The Lighthouse Point Trail leads park visitors to the lighthouse.
