In Brookfield, by Sunset Lake, is a sculpture of two hippopotami nuzzling one another.
The sculpture is located on the east side of Sunset Lake, on the north side of the road going over the lake. It is about 25 feet from the road in a shaded grassy area. There is an historical sign nearby, as well.
The sculpture is made of stone, like granite. The animals are likely a mother-child pair due to the differences in size, with the mother's head over the child.
I did not see any signs to identify the sculpture.
