This is a wooden slat bench, quite similar to the many on Brighton Beach, but there are subtle differences. This has mostly narrow wooden slats, and instead of have a broad slat for the Dedication Plaque, there is an 'infill' wooden piece between two narrow slats, with the etched/engraved brass plaque inset to the joined timber. The slats have been varnished at some time, are a bit worn - but not too bad. There are two broad wooden slats, with one at the top, almost horizontal behind the backrest, and the other for behind the knees. The slats are fixed into cast metal ends, that have rolled steel arm rests - similar to the Brighton ones. The ends are painted 'Mission Brown'.
It backs onto the back of the Oldfield Memorial Hall, and has a corrugated iron awning over it, and overlooks the Churchyard Cemetery. The plaque reads:
In memory of
Brian Maslin
26.01.1933 - 24.02.2013
