The Dover Castle Inn, Teynham, viewes looking south across the A2 London Road.

"A Shepherd Neame public house on the main road through Teynham dating from the 1600's. The emphasis is on food with two large restaurant areas seperated by a long bar. A second Sheps beer is occasionally available. Recently refurbished."

Built around 1640, the building was once owned by the Lord of The Manor and sold to Shepherd and Neame in the 1700's. A halfway house between Canterbury and Rochester, which used to be painted on the gables.
