In Newbury, within the First Parish Burying Ground, is this marker for Arline Louise McBurnie, which bears an image of a violin.

The cemetery is located on the east side of High Road and is across the street from the First Parish of Newbury church building, which manages this cemetery. Park in the church parking lot.

The grave is toward the back of the cemetery. Since it is rose colored the grave may be easier to spot since most of the markers are grayish.

The marker has the following text:

"Arline Louise
Daughter of
Fred & Edit M.
McBurnie.
Born Dec. 12, 1894
Died May 28, 1911."

Above the text is an etched image of a violin. The violin is the same polished stone as the marker surface, and around the violin is the etched, rough surface.

I am assuming that, since the girl died about age 17, that the violin would be considered a hobby rather than an occupation.
