The Romanesque choir may have been burned in the 13th or 14th century.
Around 1500, the current choir is built. This construction required to modify the old Roman transept. The eastern piers of the crossing were taken again and the arcs of communication with the collaterals were redone.
In the eighteenth century the collaterals are redone by enlarging them as well as the facade. This enlargement has changed the coverage of collaterals. The openings of the walls of the central vessel then give on the aisles transforming them into walls-diaphragm.
The church was bombed in September 1914. In October 1915, the architect Ventre proposed a restoration of the church with a quote. The refurbishment work began in 1931.
At the beginning of the Second World War, in June 1940, incendiary bombs destroyed the bell tower, the roofs and the ceiling of the nave. Two vaults of the choir collapsed and that of the cross was dislocated. Measures were taken in 1941 by the architect Haubold to allow the safeguarding of what remains.
The restoration began in 1947. The attic is redone in reinforced concrete. The restoration was entrusted to the architect Pillet in 1950. The church was restored to worship in 1956. "

"La nef, le transept et la tour de la croisée ont été construits à la fin du XIIe siècle. La nef a trois vaisseaux et cinq travées avec deux niveaux. Les collatéraux devaient être plus étroits que ceux actuels et couverts d'un appentis qui devait laisser à découvert l'étage au-dessus des arcades. Les piles sont constituées d'un noyau enfermé dans un faisceau de huit colonnettes groupées par paires. Ces piles rappellent celles de l'abbatiale Saint-Rémi de Reims.
Le chœur roman a peut-être été incendié au XIIIe ou XIVe siècle.
Vers 1500, le chœur actuel est construit. Cette construction a nécessité de modifier l'ancien transept roman. Les piles orientales de la croisée ont été reprises et les arcs de communication avec les collatéraux ont été refaits.
Au XVIIIe siècle les collatéraux sont refaits en les élargissant ainsi que la façade. Cet élargissement a modifié le couvrement des collatéraux. Les ouvertures des murs du vaisseau central donnent alors sur les bas-côtés les transformant en murs-diaphragme.
L'église est bombardée en septembre 1914. En octobre 1915, l'architecte Ventre proposa une restauration de l'église avec un devis. Les travaux de remise en état commencèrent en 1931.
Au début du Seconde Guerre mondiale, en juin 1940, des bombes incendiaires détruisirent le clocher, les toitures et le plafond de la nef. Deux voûtes du chœur s'effondrèrent et celle de la croisée fut disloquée. Des mesures ont été prises en 1941 par l'architecte Haubold pour permettre la sauvegarde de ce qui reste.
La restauration est commencée en 1947. Les combles sont refaits en ciment armé. La restauration a été confiée à l'architecte Pillet en 1950. L'église a été redonnée au culte en 1956."
