DE: Das Olympiastadion München ist ein Multifunktionsstadion im Olympiapark in der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt. Es wurde für die Olympischen Sommerspiele 1972 durch das Architektenbüro Behnisch & Partner geplant und war Ort für sportliche Veranstaltungen und die Eröffnungs- und Schlusszeremonie.
Neben der Olympiahalle ist das Olympiastadion seit 1982 zweiter Austragungsort für Konzerte im Olympiapark, wobei im Stadion die Freiluftkonzerte stattfinden.[210] Die Rolling Stones waren die erste Band, die bei ihrer European Tour 1982 im Olympiastadion auftrat. Dabei spielte sie Songs aus dem aktuellen Album Tattoo You.[69] Seit diesem Ereignis traten zahlreiche weitere Sänger und Bands im Stadion auf. Neben AC/DC galten Konzerte von Tina Turner im Jahr 1990, Michael Jackson bei zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Auftritten im Jahr 1988 mit insgesamt 140.000 Besuchern und diverse weitere Auftritte der Rolling Stones als besonders publikumswirksam.[210]
Das Olympiastadion war insgesamt siebenmal Zielort der Rolling Stones während einer Tournee. Somit nutzte keine andere Band häufiger das Stadion als Bühne. Am zweithäufigsten traten Bon Jovi, die zwischen 2001 und 2013 sechsmal im Olympiastadion im Rahmen einer Tournee auftraten, in das musikalische Rampenlicht des Olympiastadions. Es folgen Bruce Springsteen und Robbie Williams mit fünf Konzerten,wobei Robbie Williams einmal als Mitglied der Band Take That auftrat. Michael Jackson sang viermal in der Arena.
