Auf einer Anhöhe gut 1,5 km westlich von Sottorf liegt 131 m über NN der Gedenkstein für einen „Wanderer, Freund der Heide und des Waldes“ – Paul Roth. Der 1,9 m hohe Granitfindling trägt auf der Vorderseite die Inschrift „Paul Roth 1912“. Paul Roth war nicht nur Wanderfreund, sondern auch 35 Jahre lang Vorturner der Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816.
On a hill about 1,5kms west from the village Sottorf, located 131m above sea level theres a mindmark for the "Wanderer, Lover of the Heath and the Forest" - Paul Roth. The 1,9m large Block of Granite has a inscribtion reading "Paul Roth - 1912". Paul Roth not only has been an enthusiatic Wanderer, but also an excellent Gymnast for the "Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816" (the most important association for Gymnasts in this area) for 35 years.
