Storia
Inaugurata il 29 giugno 1928 e scolpita dal riminese Filogenio Fabbri, la Fontana dei Quattro Cavalli si può definire come uno dei simboli della riviera riminese. È situata all'interno del Parco Federico Fellini e, nel 1945, resistette al passaggio del fronte. Nello stesso anno la fontana venne rimossa e posizionata nella allora sede dei Vigili del Fuoco, dopodiché tre dei quattro cavalli vennero trasferiti all'interno del Parco Marecchia. La vasca fu abbattuta nel 1954.
Solo nel 1983, grazie alla perseveranza di Umberto Bartolani e della figlia dello scultore, Fausta Fabbri, la fontana venne ricollocata nella sua posizione originaria. Alla base, nella parte inferiore, una targa datata nel 1987 ricorda Ugo Stentori, ultimo restauratore dell'opera.
Descrizione
La grande vasca principale è di formato circolare, a rappresentare simbolicamente il mare. Dall'acqua sorgono quattro cavalli marini, i quali spruzzano acqua dalle narici e sostengono col capo un'altra vasca, più piccola, dalla quale verso l'alto si estende un altro zampillo.

The Fontana dei Quattro Cavalli is a fountain in Rimini, located in Marina Centro.
History
Inaugurated on 29 June 1928 and sculpted by the Rimini-born Filogenio Fabbri, the Fontana dei Quattro Cavalli can be defined as one of the symbols of the Rimini Riviera. It is located inside the Federico Fellini Park and, in 1945, resisted the passage of the front. In the same year the fountain was removed and placed at the then headquarters of the Fire Brigade, after which three of the four horses were moved inside the Marecchia Park. The tank was torn down in 1954.
Only in 1983, thanks to the perseverance of Umberto Bartolani and the daughter of the sculptor, Fausta Fabbri, the fountain was relocated to its original position. At the base, in the lower part, a plaque dated in 1987 recalls Ugo Stentori, the last restorer of the work.
Description
The large main pool is circular in shape, symbolically representing the sea. From the water there are four sea horses, which spray water from the nostrils and support with the head another tank, smaller, from which upwards another gush extends.
