FR Historique

Description

A masonry bridge existed there under the Ancien Régime. Several repair projects were carried out during the First Empire, but the bridge was finally washed away in the winter of 1812 and replaced by a wooden structure. The current stone bridge was built in 1859. Its doubling dates back to the 4th quarter of the 20th century.

Description
The flower bridge is a masonry bridge consisting of a 7 m wide semicircular arch with a span of 19 m and a total length of 30 m. To this distance must be added the powerful shoreline massifs forming abutments that are lost in the ground. It is composed of a single row of stone keys of size of large device. The width of their seats is not constant, which gives a certain irregularity to the upper surface. The rest of the masonry is made of more or less seated rubble. The bridge was doubled on the upstream side by the addition of a concrete arch of the same dimensions.
