Construction of the two-storey Italianate style former Echuca Post Office on the corner of Anstruther and Hare Streets,commenced in 1878 and was first occupied in February 1879 and continued to be used that purpose until 2001 when AusraliaPost sold the building
The building is now used as a restaurant on the ground floor and luxury holiday apartments upstairs
