Located in the heart of Minnesota's lake country, Hackensack is home to approximately 300+ citizens.
The new city hall building is a steel building. Right next door stands the old brick jail and city hall that has been recently preserved. City Hall houses the city council, mayor's office as well as other meeting and facilities. The city has a fire department and first responders. Police services are provided by Cass County.
The building is located just off of Highway 371 on First Avenue. The American Legion 202 is next door. Tennis courts are across the street as is a recreational area that has a lake landing, pier, log cabin library, and more. The Paul Bunyan Trail goes through the heart of the city and a trail head, community building is just a block away.
