Red Deer Cemetery is one of two cemeteries in Red Deer this one being the largest with approximately 8,000 known interments.
It is interesting to note that most of the sections are surrounded by huge evergreen trees as well as most of the perimeter. This cemetery is maintained by the City of Red Deer and is beautifully maintained. There are newer headstones mixed among the older ones.
There is a large Veterans Section with traditional head stones. They are neatly placed row on row. There is cairn that is dedicated:
