On the south side of the chancel a fine alabaster chest tomb with effigies commemorating Sir Gabriel Livesey of Hollingborne, Sheriff of Kent (d 18.03.1622) and his 2nd wife Anne Sondes (dau of Sir Michael Sondes of Throwley), in All Saints' church, Eastchurch.

"Gabriel Livesey, (or Levesey, as he usually spelt his name), was of Hollingborne-hill, esq. and sheriff of Kent in the 18th year of king James I. He died in 1622, and lies buried with his wife Anne, daughter of Sir Michael Sondes, of Throwley, in this church, under a handsome monument, on which are both their effigies lying at full length."

SOIURCE - (visit link)

The figure kneeling on the left side of the base of the monument is that of his son Michael -

His son Sir Michael Livesey (visit link) or Levesey, Bart (b c1611, a 10.1663, dspm) was created a baronet in 1627. He made this parsonage-house his residence, appointing from time to time a curate for the service of the church. He was a zealous Puritan and great republican in the reign of king Charles I and, sided with the parliament in the troubled times in which he lived, acted as one of the king's judges, and signed the death warrant of the ill-fated Charles (making him one of the regicides of King Charles I), and afterwards served the office of sheriff in 1656 and 1657. He died before the Reformation, nevertheless immediately after that event, an act of parliament passed, for his attainder and the forfeiture of all his lands ... The Baronetcy was of course extinguished.
His wife was Elizabeth Clinton (dspm c1666, dau of Sir Henry Clinton or Fynes)

There is a very fine account of the monument and family history in Archaeologia Cantiana Vol. 14, 1882 - (visit link) p.379

We thinke not that true fame doth rest upon
Each costly monument of carved stone
Or that well polishd rance or marble can
Add honor to the name of any man
And though y° fashion of ye world we borrow
To build ye dead these complements of sorrow
We raise them not because it is conceaved
Death had ye fame of Livesey els bereaved
But rather we this monument provide
To showe our love is living though he dide.

On the front of the tomb.

Stay passenger & marke before thou passe
Thine owne condition in death's looking glass.
Thou yt dost read these lines shalt lye among
Worms bones & roten carkesses er long
Tenn thousands yt are full of life today
Shall by tomorrow ys tyme sleep in clay
And freind for ought yt any mortall knowes
Thou maist be marked out for one of those
Let therefor these dead lynes remember thee
How well prepared thou hast need to be.
So thou shalt gaine by looking on ys tombe
A better life than from thy mother's womb.
