This is another wooden slat bench, north of the Brighton Jetty. It is of mostly narrow wooden slats, but with one of moderate width, near the top of the backrest, where the Dedication Plaque is inset into the wood. There are four vertical narrow slats below the dedication slat, with a further two narrow slats above, which are at two different angle, effecting a curve. The seat part of the bench has nine narrow slats, and are all held in place by the cast metal seat-ends, which are curved to make it of a comfortable shape and design. The armrests are of bent/curved steel bar, with a circular curl near the thigh.
The seat is bolted to the concrete pavers of the Esplanade, behind brushed stainless steel tubing fencing that is above the rocky seawall. The cast bronze plaque (with a textured black background) has been inset into the top 'vertical' slat of the backrest, and reads:
In Loving Memory of
BETSY AND JIM COONAN
(Nana and Umpa)
Dearly Loved and Loving Parents to Anne
and Grandparents to Grant, Brenton and Prue.
