This bank building is located on the southeast corner of Broadway and Central, at 123 W. Broadway. It is a two-story rusticated native sandstone building in the Romanesque style. The stone date panel at the roof line shows "1903". The population in Cushing in 1900 was only 200, but with the railroad coming to town in 1902, the population grew rapidly to 1072 in 1910. By 1920, after oil was discovered in 1912, the population grew to 6325, and by 1930, it stood at 9300. This building housed the First State Bank of Cushing, and was busy handling all those commercial funds. Today, the bank building houses an attorney.

Windows on the second level are now fixed pane units. The entrance is on a canted corner, consisting of a wood door, with an stone arch and fanlight. A larger display window has been partially infilled with board and batten leaving two smaller windows. On the west elevation, there are two ground floor entrances, with a metal staircase leading to an entrance on the second level. A one-story building directly to the east does not appear to be associated with the bank building, but its stone walls are identical.
