The Angus coastal village of East Haven lies between the towns of Carnoustie and Arbroath, and lies on the Angus Coastal Path. A walker's car park and public conveniences are situated between the railway line and the coast, and it is on the wall of the latter that this sign can be found.
Information includes the Greater Yellow Rattle, which grows between the village and foreshore, and is the only known place in Scotland that this species can be found. There is also information on various coastal grasses, including Marram Grass, other plants and wild flowers, like Meadow Cranesbill and Lady's Bedstraw, and a feature on the geodiversity of the area.
