Das Fabrikgebäude am Löhergraben 22 wurde zuletzt als Tuchfabrik genutzt. Nach der Stilllegung ging es 1975 in den Besitz der Stadt Aachen über. 1977 gründete sich daraufhin die Initiative "Barockfabrik", ein Zusammenschluß aus Künstlern, die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kulturausschuss der Stadt Aachen das alte Fabrikgebäude zu einem Kulturzentrum umgestaltet haben. Kulturelle Vielfalt, Kooperation und Bildung sowie Kinder- und Jugendförderung stehen dabei im Vordergrund.

Folgende Vereine und Einrichtungen sind heute im Kulturhaus vertreten: Des weiteren befindet sich das Café Couleur im Gebäude.
The factory building on Löhergraben 22 was last used as a cloth factory. After decommissioning, it became the property of the city of Aachen in 1975. In 1977, the initiative "Barockfabrik" (i.e. "Baroque Factory") was founded, an association of artists who, in collaboration with the Culture Committee of the City of Aachen, transformed the old factory building into a cultural center. Cultural diversity, cooperation and education as well as child and youth promotion are in the foreground.

The following associations and institutions are represented in the center today: In addition, the Café Couleur is located in the building.
