The old horse trough on the side of the road opposite the former railway station is one of several hundred bequeathed by Annis and George Bills to the welfare of animals. Originally the pre-cast concrete trough had a curved pediment on the back with the inscription "Donated by Annis & George Bills Australia" .
The majority of the troughs were installed in Victoria and New South Wales between 1930 and 1939., although some exist in Western Australia and England.
