This footbridge can be found in Ballure Glen in Maughold.

The bridge is on the path which goes round the Ballure Rerervoir and is immedately upstream of where the stream flows into the reseroir.

The reservoir used to supply drinking water to the nearby town of Ramsey but the treatment works was closed in 2005 and today the reservoir and it environs are used solely for recreational purposes including walking and fishing.

The reservoir has a surface area is 3.5 acres (0.0142 square kilometres) and so the walk around the circumfernce should not take more than 20 minutes. The track was constructed with help of staff at Friends Provident International Limited.

Those interested in a little more exercise can follow the path which runs up the Glen to the 'Gooseneck' Car Park and then onwards up North Barrule or visit the Albert Tower overlooking the town of Ramsey.
