Orange Grove Fire Dept School Bell the bell is located at the fire department near the site of the old school.

Text of plaque at bell:
"Since 1897 this bell has served community schools: First at the Orange Grove Academy located 300 yards to the south. then, in 1911 at the Orange Grove Public School at the same site; finally, in 1924, at Orange Grove School located 200 yards north. When the school burned in 1943, the bell was bought by Chandler Cates of Hillsborough. The community is grateful to Mr. Cates for returning the bell to the community in 2000."
The bell is mounted on a brick pedestal. The casting of the yoke has "No. 22 Yoke" on one side. The obverse side has "The C. S. Bell Co. 22 Hillsboro O" in the yoke casting.
