As part of an Eagle Scout project, trail markers have been installed which are adapted to the needs of the sight impaired. Braile symbols are available and smart phone technology can be used to describe the scene in front of the hiker. To quote from the Eagle Scout Project website, "This is a new technology application that uses Bluetooth for iPhones and Android devices. This technology is being introduced as a stand-alone application to describe, in a grid format, the surrounding area and features. It was released in March 2013 for indoor uses. This trail is the first outdoor application of its kind using this technology."
