Stillwater Milling Company has a complex of mills and silos at this location, as well as an Agri-Center. The company also maintains operations in Davis, Claremore and Perry.
The company originated as Thomas and Plummer Perfections Mill in 1891, producing wheat flour and corn meal. In 1906, the popular product was Stillwater's Best Flour. Several owners held the company over the years, with CEO Haskell Cudd (CEO 1938-2005) beginning feed mill operations. In 1957, because of less home baking, their flour line was dropped, and the company focused on animal feeds and farm products. In 1975, they opened an Agri-Center which sells feed, fertilizer, fencing and farm products, clothing, troughs, medications and medicated feeds, and gardening supplies and seeds. The company currently buys what, corn, soybeans and milo.
The elevators have a capacity of 1,000,000 bushels, and the mill produces 2100 tons of feed per day, in two shifts.
