[GER] Kunst im öffentlichen Raum: Entwickelt wurde die Idee auf einer Stadtteilkulturaktion 1989 "Zwischen Barmbek & Haiti" von A. Wiest, A. Gleiss und B. Kuchs.
Realisiert haben es das Arbeitslosenprojekt Störtebeker und Rothenburgsorter Bürger auf einer Werft auf der Peute. Das stählerne Wappen wurde aus der Außenhaut eines alten Flußschiffes herausgeschweißt.
Das Hamburg-Wappen ist 2,60m hoch, ca. 600kg schwer, aus Stahlblech und steht zwischen den beiden Fahrbahnen des Billhorner Röhrendammes.
[ENG] Art in public space: The idea was developed by A. Wiest, A. Gleiss and B during a cultural campaign in 1989 "Between Barmbek & Haiti". Cue.
The unemployed project Störtebeker and Rothenburgsorter Bürger realized it at a shipyard on the Peute. The steel coat of arms was welded out of the outer skin of an old riverboat.
The Hamburg coat of arms is 2.60 m high, weighs approx. 600 kg, made of sheet steel and stands between the two roadways of the Billhorner Röhrendamm.
