First Baptist Church of Stillwater is located at 701 S. Duncan and has been established as a congregation since 1892. Near the curb, at the southwest corner of their church auditorium is a tree with a granite plaque beneath it, reading:

The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City took place on the quiet morning of April 19, 1995. 168 people were killed and many injured.
