[GER] Das Gymnasium Eppendorf wurde am 18. April 1904 als Vor- und Realschule für Jungen an der Stelle ihres heutigen Standortes, in Hamburg, Hegestraße 35, gegründet. Mit dem Bau des Gebäudes wurde 1902 begonnen.
Das Hamburg-Wappen befindet sich auf der südlichen Ecke über dem representativen Eingang Hegestraße 35.
[ENG] The Gymnasium Eppendorf was founded on 18 April 1904 as a pre-school and secondary school for boys on the site of its current location, in Hamburg, Hegestraße 35. Construction of the building began in 1902.

[GER] Das Wappen von Hamburg zeigt in Rot eine hervorkommende silberne Burg mit geschlossenem Rundbogentor, auf dem Zinnenkranz mit sieben Zinnen drei Türme, die beiden Äußeren vierfach gezinnt und von je einem sechszackigen silbernen Stern überhöht, der mittlere großer mit Kuppel, darauf ein Knauf und ein Kreuz.
[ENG] The coat of arms of Hamburg shows in red a protruding silver castle with a closed round arched gate, on the battlements with seven battlements three towers, the two outer ones tinned fourfold and each heightened by a six-pointed silver star, the middle big one with dome, on it a knob and a cross.
