"The Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society's art gallery is located at the Washington, MO Amtrak train depot. MMFAS sponsors ongoing quarterly exhibits at the art gallery. The MMFAS:
"The Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society (MMFAS) began in 1974 to promote and contribute to to the interest in fine arts. Members are active artists and art enthusiasts. Our Mission also includes encouraging the development of proven talent by aiding deserving students in the fine arts.
"Meetings: Visitors are always welcome to our meetings held on the second Monday of every month at the Scenic Regional Library in Union, MO from 7 to 9 pm.
"Exhibits: MMFAS offers many venues for exhibiting art. Some are for members only; others are juried and open to the public. Awards are often given.
"Scholarships: An award of $500 is given each year to an Art Student at East Central College. Our mission is to fund this with silent auctions, raffles and other club events." ~ MMFAS
