While Pilgrim's Pride has since been sold, when this memorial was placed, they were still operating out of Pittsburg, where they were established in a feed store way back in 1946 by Aubrey and Bo Pilgrim.
The Pilgrim's Pride silhouette emblem is at the top of the plaque, with "Pilgrim's Pride" and "1946-1996" separated by a ribbon with "50th Anniversary" on it. The text reads:
