The cast bronze plaque is mounted on a concrete slab that is mounted on a rectangular 'prism' constructed of irregular shaped rocks cemented together. It is directly in front of the stone block, Gothic-styled former 'Bible Christian Church', which is the local Historic Museum.
On the morning that I was leaving Clarendon, after staying at Riverbend Park a few nights, while going to a conference in Adelaide, it had been constantly drizzling, and the plaque which is almost horizontal, had a lot of water on it, and hard to photograph. The inscription reads:
OUR GLORIOUS DEAD
1939-1945
[Army] [Air Force]
Formby, S.H. Carr, L.
Powell, M.A. Giles, R.L.
Smart, C. Piggott, P.M.
['Navy]
Loud, M.S.
"Their name liveth for evermore"
