This is a simple orange brick building, being rectangular is design, but with with arched openings for the windows. The Foundation Stone is a broad brown granite tablet, to the right of the western end of the building, behind a table. There is an Orthodox cross in the western gable end of the low angled hip roof. What catches the eye of the passerby is the tall Bell Tower with its four parallel legs of square steel, that must be 8 metres tall, surmounted by a Celtic cross.
The Foundation Stone is in two languages, being Greek and English, and the English part (lower half) of the engraved tablet reads:
The Foundation Stone of Saint Dimitrios
Greek Orthodox Church was Blessed by
His Eminence Archbishop Ezekiel
on the 19th December 1965
This is one of three Greek Orthodox Churches in this region of Berri, with this one at Berri North, another on the Sturt Highway at Berri, and a third at 21 Renmark Avenue, Renmark.
