"111. 527 West Third Street, the John Richter House (1876), ca. 1875. A wide low one story central passage Missouri-German house with red brick walls and a stone foundation. The house has a dentiled cornice and a side facing gable roof with a pair of hipped dormers. The dormers do not appear to be original. The central doorway is sheltered by a small open porch, which was probably added around the turn of the century. The porch has a hipped roof and modern iron posts. The newer 1/1 windows are topped by segmental brick arches. A modern iron fence runs along the sidewalk in front of the house, [c]" ~ NRHP Nomination Form
