"The menu boards at Starbucks on South Sixth Street were covered on Tuesday, and there weren’t any long lines or the whirring sounds of espresso machines at the coffee house.

But that will soon change at the site of the new Starbucks drive-thru, 2922 S. Sixth St., when the drive-thru and cafe opens at 5 a.m. on Friday.

Regular business hours are scheduled from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sundays, according to store manager Brooke DeRoule.

It was unclear how many employees Starbucks has hired as of press time, but staff unloaded inventory from a large semitrailer Tuesday afternoon.

Construction was completed by both Modoc Contracting and Rocky Mountain Construction, with design by Adkins Consulting.

Construction began on the drive-thru and cafe in February 2015. Design was completed in January 2016." (visit link)
