Chiloquin restoring iconic mural - News Article Locations on Waymarking.com

"Restoration of a community mural in Chiloquin has been under way in recent weeks, with a grand opening scheduled for July 14.

The restoration is being led by Judy Pate, of Two Rivers Art Gallery, who gathered community donations and volunteers for the project.

Pate said she wanted to restore the 16-year-old mural before too much time passed and the mural was beyond repair.

“Before the mural was un-fixable, the gallery took on the project,” she said.

The mural was completed in 2002 on the side of the old Community Center on South First Avenue as part of a county-wide art initiative. Dubbed “Mazama to the Millennium,” the mural depicts the cultural and historical heritage of Klamath County including the Klamath Tribes, local ranchers and Upper Klamath Lake." (visit link)
