"Many were sad when, like fresh-cut timber, a popular logging mural came tumbling down last year.

But Chris Young, the artist who originally worked on the piece, is bringing it back to downtown Klamath Falls. Only this time, it’s on the side of the Leo’s Camera Shop building along the 400 block of Main Street.

“The question was just where to put it,” Young said as he continued working Thursday. “We looked at a few different buildings.”

The first mural appeared on the side of a building along the 1100 block of Main Street, which had to be torn down due to deterioration and an incoming park funded through Sky Lakes Medical Center.

The reconstructed mural was made possible through $3,500 in Autzen Foundation grant funds obtained by the Klamath Falls Downtown Association and City Councilor Kendall Bell.

Young said he hopes to have the mural completed within the next couple of weeks." (visit link)
