This Bench can be found in the grounds of the Ramsey Cottage Hospital.
This wooden bench has a slatted seat and backrest. The bench also has two armrests. The bench has been painted black, although the paintwork is now worn and far from pristine.
The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
‘In loving memory of
CLIFFIE SCARFFE
Friend and helping hand
Happy is the house that shelters a friend’
The bench is positioned in outside the entrance to Mount View House in the grounds of the Ramsey Cottage Hospital.
