Pour marquer le passage à l’an 2000, François Sauvadet, Maire de Vitteaux à cette époque, envisage d’installer sur la commune une oeuvre d’art.
C’est alors qu’il rencontre l’artiste Sylvie Fleury, par l’intermédiaire de Xavier Douroux (Médiateur de la Fondation de France, responsable du Consortium, centre d’Art Contemporain de Dijon).
C’est en 2009 que la soucoupes se pose à Vitteaux, sous les marronniers du Parc municipal (route d’Avallon), promenade réalisée en 1763.

To mark the passage to the year 2000, François Sauvadet, Mayor of Vitteaux at that time, plans to install on the town a work of art.
It was then that he met the artist Sylvie Fleury, through Xavier Douroux (Mediator of the Fondation de France, head of the Consortium, Contemporary Art Center of Dijon).
It is in 2009 that the saucers arises in Vitteaux, under the chestnuts of the Municipal Park (road of Avallon), walk realized in 1763.
