The Yewdale Inn is a village inn situated in the centre of Coniston.
The building dated 1897 above the door was built using the local stone and slate that is typical of other buildings in the area.
It was originally built as a bank but has now been converted into the bar of the Yewdale Inn.
The Yewdale Inn provides quality ales and wines and hearty home-cooked meals using seasonal and local produce wherever possible.
Dogs are welcome in non carpeted areas.
"In winter a cosy fire and jovial atmosphere prevails. In summer enjoy a drink on the terrace with stunning views of the Old Man of Coniston and surrounding fells and church beck, a babbling brook that runs through the village. Opening hours and the availability of food is reduced in winter but details are maintained on the web site." Source: (
