County of structure: Franklin COunty
Location of structure: 1 Elbert Dr., Rennick Riverfront Park, Washington
Built by Washington Lions Club<

This pit is for community use. You reserve the large pavilion for a large party and you can use this pit.
The lions also hold events in this park, and of course, use their own pit.

Built with fire bricks, or course, but something a bit different---they had the bricks dedicated, and donated....

On the top of the shelter is the Lion's Logo and the ID of the town, WASHINGTON, like the old train depots use to do.....maybe this was for the river traffic, because under that is the mile marker ID of 68.3....is that the distance remaining to the Mississippi River, or from the Mississippi River to here??
it is surely not to the headwaters...
but, I do not know.
