There is a small dirt/fine gravel parking area at the end of the track off of Ocean Drive. Then there is a steepish single-lane concrete ramp down to the sandy Beach. Immediately off-shore are some jutting rocky protrusions that provide a minimum of protection against waves from the SE, but no protection of the east. There is no kerbing to edge of the concrete ramp. The ramp does have fairly decently-deep oblique grooves across the width of the ramp, for added traction.
A 4wd, with decent sand-grip tyres would be necessary. And you would be advised to check, and double-check the Tide Times, Height of the Swell and Wind Direction !! As the parking area is a little isolated, make sure you leave no valuable in your vehicle.
