A standard skeleton-type clock but without any solid backing panel, allowing the stonework to show through.
The three-rings are basically black with the minute, five-minute and Roman numeral hours all picked out in gold. This gold colour is somewhat tarnished, probably due to it's proximity to the sea.
The Parish Church, which was built between the 13th and 15th centuries, is large for a small village and dominates the surrounding area with its two towers. The hammer beam roof and wealth of stained glass enhance the majesty of the building and its dimensions are comparable to a major city church. The chancel east window is a gem of Early English architecture with seven stepped lancets.
From wikipedia:-
The clock in the west tower was donated by a Mrs Cooke in 1945 in memory of her late husband and sons.
