The Former Ovens District Hospital consisting of the front facade of the former hospital, the remainder of which was demolished in 1940.The Former Hospital was built on this site in stages from 1856, and had two wards accommodating 20 patients, more wards were added over the years with the classical facade being constructed in 1862/63
