The Newtown Bridge is a single arch granite bridge built c.1875. The 25m bridge long, 6.3m wide with a span of 15.5m over Spring Creek replacing an earlier timber bridge constructed further upstream in 1854. The capping stones on the parapet have two carved weathering strips which run along the full length allowing water to run off.
