A time capsule is located under the Memorial Arch in Cabool's Freedom Park, bounded by Main St, an alley, and Pine and Cedar Avenues.

This time capsule was placed to observe the centennial of Cabool's establishment. It can be found directly under the Memorial Arch, and it reads:

Cabool Centennial
Time Capsule
July 3, 1982

Details about this one are elusive at best, and presumably, they'll open it up in 2082. Cabool itself was originally "Cedar Bluff", but a railroad engineer provided its current name, an Americanization of "Kabul", because he thought the area resembled the area where he'd worked in Afghanistan.
