In 1905, the industrialists Oettler and Nolle, owners of the local brewery and Ketten- und Nagelwerke, commissioned a sculpture of a pug with a pointed cap, which was installed on the "Saxon Court" as soon as it was completed.
The four gentlemen (each of the two senior and junior bosses of the companies) had spoken over a story with a glass of wine, which was difficult to understand for them. In that same house, the Saxon Court, the writer Louise von Francois spent her teenage years, and in her "Childhood Records" she describes the house as very magical, comparing it to a pug with a pointed hat. The comparison remained in the minds of the men and the decision to make the plastic was quickly made. The local artist Haase had already made a name for himself through various projects in the city and in the surrounding area, so that the job was quickly taken care of and completed.
During the refurbishment of the house "Sächsischer Hof" in 2007, the plastic was removed from the rear building. After five years in exile, the pug with the pointed cap is once again part of the Weißenfels townscape. The sculpture was set up on the first terrace of the castle hill and is now perched on a new limestone base. The 2.30 meter high figure thus has its former domicile, the Haus Markt 6, directly in view.

1905 gaben die befreundeten Industriellen Oettler und Nolle, Besitzer der hiesigen Brauerei bzw. der Ketten- und Nagelwerke, eine Plastik von einem Mops mit einer Zipfelmütze in Auftrag, der alsbald nach Fertigstellung am "Sächsischen Hof" angebracht wurde.
Die vier Herren (jeweils die beiden Senior- und Junior-Chefs der Firmen) hatten bei einem Glas Wein über eine Geschichte gesprochen, die für sie schwer verständlich war. In eben jenem Haus, dem Sächsischem Hof verbrachte die Schriftstellerin Louise von Francois ihre Jugendjahre und in ihren "Kindheitsaufzeichnungen" beschreibt sie das Haus als sehr magisch, sie vergleicht es mit einem Mops mit einer Zipfelmütze. Dieser Vergleich blieb den Männern in Gedanken und der Entschluss für die Plastik war schnell getroffen. Der hiesige Künstler Haase hatte sich schon durch diverse Projekte in der Stadt und im Umland einen Namen gemacht, so dass der Auftrag schnell vergeben und erledigt war.
Bei der Sanierung des Hauses "Sächsischer Hof" im Jahr 2007 wurde die Plastik vom Hinterhaus entfernt. Nach fünf Jahren im Exil ist der Mops mit der Zipfelmütze wieder ein Bestandteil des Weißenfelser Stadtbildes. Die Plastik wurde auf der ersten Terrasse des Schlosshanges aufgestellt und thront jetzt auf einem neuen Kalksteinsockel. Die 2,30 Meter hohe Figur hat damit ihr ehemaliges Domizil, das Haus Markt 6, direkt im Blick.
