On the red wine trail near Altenahr, between the White Cross and the Altenaher Eck, there is a rest area with a beautiful view of Burg Are, the Ahr valley and the surrounding mountains.
The rest area was raised approx. 2. 50m to the path in a former vineyard. The place was chosen as "Best Wine View 2012" in the local competition.
There are benches and picnic tables.
