The mural was created on the wall of a building along Sherbrooke Street as part of the 2015 Festival MURAL. The technique is painting and Curiot used acrylics.
It took a week for Curiot and his assistant to complete this large building. Branching away from his traditional technique and style, the Mexican muralist used his magic to create this chalk-like mural which is featuring some traditional Mexican folklore creatures and masks.
Curiot is a painter and street artist working in Mexico City. He earn his B.F.A from the Universidad Michoacana de S.N. Hidalgo in 2008. His paintings are exhibited in diverse solo and group venues including Fecal Face, Anno Domini, Fifty24MX, CC186, Centro Cultural Border, Galeria David Alfaro Siqueiros, Lavamp, La Cream Galeria, and received an award for his work ‘Mass Media’ in the 7th National Biennial of Painting and Engraving Alfredo Zalce. Curiot’s work is featured in numerous online and print publications including Beautiful Decay, Indie Rocks, El Fanzine, and Tongue Mag.
