It's counter service here, and they'll greet you as you come through the door. Sandwiches and plates are your options, and include brisket (chopped and sliced), pulled pork, sausage, pork ribs, and baked potatoes. If you don't want to go with barbecue, they've got a fairly good "home cookin'" menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, catfish, and comfort food like chicken fried steak. There are a few options for the kids, and be sure to check the board up front for their daily specials. There is plenty of seating to be found, and they'll bring your food to you: The service here is really good, and the owner will treat you like an old friend. Soft drinks are available from their fountain, as well as the ubiquitous sweetened/unsweetened iced tea. For dessert, they've got fried pies and regular pie by the slice.
Those who want a "pig out" option can get the three meat plate for $17.99, which includes two sides and a slice of Texas Toast. Those who are dining on the cheap can get a grilled chicken sandwich or a hamburger for $4.99.
